Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards shared his thoughts on how he has evolved during his time in the league following the team’s NBA playoff quarterfinal victory.
Reflecting on his development, Edwards said: “As I get older, I become more mature as a person. A lot of it depends on the people around me. They genuinely want to see me succeed. They don’t let me slack off, they don’t let me take days off. They keep me on my toes constantly. I appreciate everyone in my circle.” The NBA’s official social media account posted the remarks.
Edwards was the standout performer in the fourth game of the quarterfinal series against the San Antonio Spurs. The Timberwolves’ leader scored 36 points, grabbed six rebounds, and dished out two assists, leading his team to a 114-109 victory.
In that decisive matchup, the Timberwolves got contributions from Naz Reid (15 points), Jaden McDaniels (14), Julius Randle (12), and Rudy Gobert (11), among others. For the Spurs, Ron Harper Jr. and De’Aaron Fox each scored 24 points, with Stephon Castle adding 20.
